CINCINNATI - Two members of the University of Cincinnati lacrosse team were selected for American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll awards today with Monica Borzillo and Morgan Dukes earning the accolades. Both had strong showings in a close game at Ohio State last week.
Offensively, Borzillo found her scoring touch as she more than doubled her output from the first two games of the as she scored four goals and added a trio of assists for seven points. Her three assists tied her for the second-highest total in a single game this among all players in the AAC while her goal scoring notched her 26th career hat trick, the second-most in program history.
Defensively, Dukes was solid once again as she recorded six ground balls, caused three turnovers and won two draw controls for the Bearcats. Her ground ball total ties for the single-game high in the AAC so far this year.
