University of Cincinnati baseball returns home to Marge Schott Stadium this weekend to host Eastern Michigan.

The schedule for this weekend's Eastern Michgian series has been modified. Friday's game has been postponed. Saturday will be a doubleheader starting at noon. Sunday will remain at 1 p.m. On Saturday, parking will not be available in either Corry or Calhoun Garage due too the men's basketball game. Fans are asked to park in Woodside or Campus Green Garage on Saturday.

// PROMOTIONS
• Saturday is another Formica Signature Saturday with select players available on the concourse postgame
• Also on Saturday, fans who have tickets for the men's basketball game that evening can get into the baseball game for no charge
• Mini bats will be handed out at the gates on Saturday
• Sundays are Family Four Pack where four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas can be purchased for $20
 
// OPPONENT OVERVIEW
• UC is 4-6 all-time against Eastern Michigan
• The two teams last met in 2014 in Cincinnati when EMU won 5-4
• The Eagles swept at three-game series on the road in 2013, winning 10-4, 7-3 and 3-0
• Prior to that, the teams met for a doubleheader in 1983 with the Eagles winning the first game 1-0 and the Bearcats winning the second 3-1
• Eastern Michigan enters the weekend with a 1-10 record
• EMU opened with a 16-8 win at Austin Peay then lost the second game of that doubleheader by a score of 7-6
• The Eagles then lost a series against Pitt, fell in a midweek contest at FGCU and dropped all four games at the Snowbird Baseball Classic last weekend
 
// MERRITT GETS NOTICE
Griffin Merritt earned a spot on this week's American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll after leading the team with a .667 average in the four-game sweep of Oakland this past weekend
• He hit two doubles and a triple with seven RBI for a 1.111 slugging percentage
• Merritt added in three walks and was hit by a pitch for a .769 on-base percentage
• It is the first conference honor for the Bearcats this season and the first for Merritt in his young career
• After earning the accolade, he hit a solo homerun at Kentucky on Tuesday
 
// REACHING RATE
• The Bearcats are doing a great job this season of getting on base and hitting extra-base hits
• The team ranks 31st in the nation in walks, 34th in hit batters and 39th in on-base percentage
• UC is 46th in doubles, 32nd in doubles per game, 35th in triples, 37th in triples per game, 58th in slugging percentage and 60th in scoring
• Individually, Joey Wiemer ranks seventh in walks, Jace Mercer is 26th in runs and 11th in runs per game and Jeremy Johnson ranks 18th in triples
• Johnson is currently on a ten-game reach base streak, Wiemer a nine and Merritt a seven
• Merritt is also on an eight-game hit streak

• The Bearcats hit the road next week
• The week starts with a midweek trip to Indiana on Wednesday
• UC will then travel to Kansas for a three-game series March 13-15
