BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ­– University of Cincinnati baseball traveled to Indiana on Wednesday evening, losing 6-2.
 
UC out-hit Indiana 11-7 but left ten men on base in the game. A few timely hits by the Hoosiers proved to be the difference.

• Schoenle had a strong start, going 6.0 innings with four runs, four hits, two walks and seven strikeouts. All runs were scored with two outs
Jackson Murphy followed with 1.1 innings of work with Nathan Moore facing the final two batters with one strikeout
Joe Powell went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, RBI and run scored
Paul Komistek finished 2-for-4 with a run scored
Joey Bellini was 2-for-5 with a double
Eric Santiago and Jeremy Johnson also hit doubles in the game

Komistek led off the inning with a single and was driven home on a double to left center off the bat of Powell

Indiana took the lead after a two-out single, walk and homerun
Top of the 4th
The Bearcats got a run back when Powell singled, Johnson doubled and Powell scored on a groundout from Jace Mercer
Bottom of the 4th
The Hoosiers made it a two-run advantage again with a run in the fifth. Again on two outs, a run was scored on a walk and double
Bottom of the 8th
Indiana was able to pull away further on a single and pair of doubles late in the game.
