A trio of UC players tied for 35th place at 7-over par 223 to lead the Bearcats at the Colleton River Collegiate on Mar. 3 in Bluffton, S.C.
Tommy Sullinger (Sylvania, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit HS), Cole Harris (Carmel, Ind./Carmel HS) and Jack Kunkel (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview HS) finished the Colleton River Collegiate on Tuesday tied for 35th place at 7-over par 223 to lead the University of Cincinnati in its opening tournament of the spring season.
Sullinger, playing the event unattached from UC's team score, completed the event at 76-72-75=223. He posted par or better scores on 43 of 54 holes with a trio of birdies during the second round.
Harris finished at 74-72-77=223. He had only six holes above par during his first two rounds while posting seven birdies.
Kunkel earned a 71-74-78=223 with eight of his 10 birdies coming during the first two rounds.
As a team, the Bearcats finished in 11th place at 31-over 294-293-308=895.

"It's a quick turnaround. We headed out on Friday and got a couple of days of practice in Tampa to get our team prepared. It's a new event for us. We've never been here before. Concession has hosted the NCAA Championship within the last five years. We're excited to be here and clean some things up from our last event."
