CINCINNATI - As the COVID-19 global pandemic continues, many Americans have been affected more than others. Prior to the pandemic, 40 million people relied on food banks in the U.S. — including more than 11 million children and nearly 5.4 million seniors. Since the pandemic, 30 million Americans have lost their jobs and many are now relying on food banks.
Because of this, the over 500 NCAA Division 1 Men and Women's soccer programs throughout the nation are uniting along with the soccer communities across America to take action against hunger in an initiative called Soccer United Against Hunger, which runs June 1-30. During this time, programs will look to help food banks near their campuses to replenish their supplies and help Americans in their time of need.
As a program, University of Cincinnati soccer has teamed with Little Sisters of the Poor St. Paul's Home, which is located in Clifton. For more information on St. Paul's Home, click on the link above in the red box.
