CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati football team saw three former student-athletes ink free-agent deals on the heels of former TE Josiah Deguara being drafted by the Green Bay Packers with the 94th pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
While Deugara was the lone Bearcats player drafted, three others, WR Rashad Medaris, RB Michael Warren II and LB Bryan Wright, signed with teams as rookie free agents.

Medaris, who averaged almost 16 yards per catch, signed with the Arizona Cardinals. He closed out his UC career with 57 receptions for 887 yards and five TDs in 31 games. Showing some big-play flash, he had a career-best 121 yards on three catches and a TD at Houston.
Warren signed with the Philadelphia Eagles after electing to leave UC early, the first player in school history to declare for the NFL Draft with eligibility remaining. The two-time Second-Team All-American Athletic Conference honoree was the 2018 Military Bowl MVP. He rushed for nearly 3,000 yards (2,918) in 38 games with the Bearcats, tallying 37 total touchdowns, including 34 rushing scores.
Wright linked up with the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. The First-Team All-American Athletic Conference selection was second on the team with 100 stops along with 13.5 tackles for a loss, seven QB hurries, four pass break ups, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He helped captain a UC defense which led the American in scoring defense for two-straight seasons.
In other recent UC-NFL news, DE Derek Wolfe inked a deal with the Baltimore Ravens (RELEASE), WR Chris Moore re-signed with the Ravens (RELEASE), CB Linden Stephens signed with the Seattle Seahawks (RELEASE) and TE Travis Kelce earned a spot on the NFL's All-Decade Team (RELEASE).
Additional UC players could ink deals with NFL teams for tryouts or sign as free agents once NFL facilities reopen.
