CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics' weekly Watch Party features one of the Bearcats four wins over Memphis on the basketball court in 1992 Thursday, focusing on the March 7, 1992 regular-season finale at the Pyramid.
Then No. 14 UC traveled to Memphis, winning 69-59 behind a then career-high 24 points from Nick Van Exel. The Bearcats were crowned Great Midwest Conference Champions in the inaugural season of the league.

The Bearcats had beaten the Tigers 75-66 on January 18, 1992 inside Fifth Third Arena. The teams would meet twice more at the end of the 1992 campaign as UC won 75-63 in the GMWC Tournament Championship at Chicago Stadium a week later on Saturday, March 14 and then knocked off Memphis for a fourth time on March 29 in the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional Final with an 88-57 victory which clinched a spot in the Final Four.
