CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics will travel back to January 20, 1986 on Thursday for its weekly Watch Party, featuring an 84-82 Metro Conference upset win over No. 18 Louisville at Freedom Hall.

NOTING THE WIN AT LOUISVILLE (From the Associated Press Game Recap)
• Sophomore guard Roger McClendon scored 24 of his 35 points in the second half as Cincinnati upset No. 13 Louisville, 84-82.
• Louisville (11-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference) held a 56-43 lead, but the Bearcats (7-9, 3-3) went on a 14-4 tear to pull to within three points with 10:29 left. McClendon had nine points during the run.
• Cincinnati tied the game on a 20-footer by McClendon with 5:29 left. Tony Wilson, fouled after picking up a loose ball, hit two free throws to put Cincinnati ahead, 80-76, with 29 seconds left.
• Louisville cut the lead to 81-80 on a layup by Jeff Hall with 11 seconds left, but Wilson broke free on the inbounds play for a layup and was fouled. His free throw with eight seconds left made it 84-80.
• Louisville shot 60% from the field, hitting 30 of 50 shots, but had 20 turnovers against Cincinnati's half-court trap defense. Cincinnati shot only 48.6% but had four more field goals.
• Myron Hughes added 18 points for Cincinnati. Hall, Milt Wagner and Pervis Ellison each had 16 points for Louisville.
