TicketsCINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati swimming and diving head coach Mandy Commons-Disalle was elected to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Board of Directors as president-elect.
She joins the executive board immediately and will serve as the association's president from 2022-24.
"I am incredibly honored to become an integral member of the CSCAA and serve my peers," Commons-DiSalle said. "I look forward to working with my fellow board members to best support our membership and sport. There are many challenges which lie ahead but I am excited for the opportunities our organization brings to the sport of swimming."
A two-time American Athletic Conference Men's Swimming Coach of the Year, the Cincinnati native enters her seventh season as head coach and 11th overall with the Bearcats program.
In the CSCAA's release, Commons-DiSalle spoke about the need to broaden the sport's reach and equip coaches to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
"We must continue to be a national presence and find ways to engage with the community in different ways to display our value," Commons-Disalle said. "As the landscape of the sport changes, we must evolve as coaches to adapt to changing athlete needs, university needs, and community needs."
The CSCAA Board of Directors provides strategic oversight of the association in its efforts to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
