For the sixth year in a row, University of Cincininati volleyball has been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association with the United States Marine Corps/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 season.
The award, which began following the 1992-93 academic year, honors teams across all levels that achieve a GPA of 3.30 or higher. A record 1,315 teams received the award this year.
The Bearcats combined for a team GPA of 3.507 in 2019-20. UC volleyball has posted perfect 1,000 NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores in back-to-back years while matching the classroom achievement on the court with back-to-back NCAA postseason wins, including a history-making Regionals appearance in 2019.
