Series Notes: 
- Cincinnati snapped a five-game losing streak vs. Memphis with Saturday's win. Memphis leads the all-time series 23-14. The Bearcats improve to 9-8 against the Tigers in Cincinnati. 
 
Coin Toss:
• UC's captains were #5 Darrick Forrest, #8 Jarell White, and #9 Desmond Ridder. White was out for the coin toss. Memphis won the toss and deferred to the second half. Cincinnati received the opening kickoff in the north end.
 
General Notes:
• Cincinnati improves to 27-5 overall since the start of 2018. The Bearcats entered today's game ranked among the Top-10 teams in CFB in winning percentage during that span.
• Cincinnati improves their record to 5-0 (3-0 Conference) this season.
• UC has won a school-record 17 consecutive games at Nippert Stadium (4-0 this season). The Bearcats entered today's game with the fourth-longest active home win streak in the FBS.
• UC also extended its American Athletic Conference home win streak to 11 games. 
• Cincinnati played its fifth game on Halloween since the 2000 season, the most by any team in college football. Three of the five games have occurred on a Saturday.
• UC scored 40 or more points for the second consecutive week and the third time this season.
• The Bearcats improved to 9-1 all time when ranked in the top 10. Their only loss was to No. 5 Florida in the 2009 Sugar Bowl.
 
Team Notes: 
• Memphis' first-quarter score – a 92-yard pass play – was only the fifth touchdown allowed by Cincinnati's defense this season. Taking the 92-yard pass out of the equation and the Tigers finished the first half with 66 total yards and 47 passing yards. 
• The UC defense limited Memphis to 4 of 16 on third-down conversions, 0 of 4 on fourth-down conversions and only one appearance in the red zone. 
• Cincinnati's season-high 271 passing yards is the most yards through the air for the Bearcats since throwing for 295 yards at Marshall in 2019. It is the most UC passing yards at Nippert Stadium since throwing for 394 yards against ECU in November 2018.
• UC held Memphis to five yards net rushing, the third-straight game a Bearcats foe has been held under 100 yards on the ground and the lowest rushing total vs. UC since Miami (OH) rushed for seven yards on Sept. 21, 2013. It is the 14th time a UC opponent has rushed for 100 yards or fewer since the start of the 2018 season.
 
Player Notes: 
• Desmond Ridder accounted for five touchdowns against Memphis on Saturday, throwing for three scores and running for two more. He threw for 271 yards, completing a season-high 21 of 26 passes. He ran 10 times for 41 yards and two scores. 
• Ridder has a total of 10 passing touchdowns this season to go with five rushing scores for a total of 15 touchdowns this season. For his career, Rider has compiled 48 passing TDs and 62 total TDs at UC.
• Ridder's season-best 21 pass completions were his most since 33 against SMU in 2018.
• Jerome Ford recorded a career-best two rushing touchdowns, running nine times for 116 yards Saturday. His 48-yard TD run in the fourth quarter was a career long. It was his first career 100-yard game.
• Alec Pierce caught a 43-yard touchdown from Ridder for his first touchdown reception of the season and third of his career. Pierce finished with three receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown in the first half.
• Michael Young Jr. tied a career-high with five receptions Saturday. His five catches accounted for 43 yards, including a six-yard TD strike in the second quarter. 
• Jayshon Jackson's 45-yard reception in the third quarter was the longest reception of the day for the Bearcats. It tied the longest reception of his career achieved against Army on Sept. 26, 2020.
• Tre Tucker caught a 21-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter, his second of the season. His three receptions was a career best.
• Today marked Josh Whyle's first career start. He had a career best 4 receptions for 36 yards on five passes. 
• Myjai Sanders recorded a team-best and tied a personal-best with six tackles (five solo and one assisted) against Memphis. He earned a career-best 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.  
• James Wiggins had his first forced fumble of the season and second of his career to go with his first career sack and tackle for loss. 
• Marcus Brown registered 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack against the Tigers. 
• Ty Van Fossen recovered his first career on the force by Wiggins.
 
Career Highs: 
• Blake Bacevich tied a career best with two tackles
• Wilson Huber tied a career mark with two tackles and had his first career sack/TFL
• Ryan Montgomery had his first career reception for 10 yards
• Deshawn Pace had a career high with four tackles
• Jabari Taylor had a career best with 2.0 tackles for a loss, his first career PBU and second career sack
• Leonard Taylor hauled in a career long 25-yard reception
