CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati football team maintained its highest-ever College Football Playoff ranking Tuesday, ranking at No. 7 in the second poll of the 2020 season.
Cincinnati sits at No. 7 in all three major polls, the CFP, Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls, its first Top-10 ranking since the 2009 season. The Bearcats ranking is the highest ever for a team outside of the five autonomy conferences, topping UCF's No. 8 ranking in 2018. The Bearcats were off last weekend after a road game at Temple was not played.
UC (8-0, 5-0 AAC) has clinched a spot in the 2020 American Football Championship on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and will close out the regular season on Saturday, Dec. 12 at No. 24 Tulsa.
