CINCINNATI – Former University of Cincinnati tight end Travis Kelce, now a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, earned a spot on the NFL's All-Decade Team, the league announced Monday.

He was a standout performer at UC from 2008-12 and was selected by Kansas City in the 2013 NFL Draft with the first pick of the third round, the No. 61 choice overall. Since 2013, Kelce is a five-time Pro Bowler and a four-time All-Pro. He holds the NFL record for most seasons with 1,000 yards receiving by a tight end (4). He is the younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles center, Jason Kelce, also a former Bearcats standout from 2007-10.

Kelce had six receptions for 43 yards in the Super Bowl LIV win over San Francisco, including a 1-yard TD grab, the first touchdown by a former UC player in the Super Bowl. Overall, Kelce has 507 NFL receptions for 6,465 yards and 37 TDs.

Kelce was one of the top tight ends in the country in 2012, earning First-Team All-BIG EAST honors and finishing as UC's leading receiver with 45 catches for 722 yards and eight scores. He set the UC single-season mark for receptions, yards receiving and touchdowns by a tight end. He caught the game winner in the 2012 Belk Bowl, hauling in an 83-yarder down the seam from QB Brendon Kay with under a minute left in the game. It was the longest scoring play and TD pass in Belk Bowl history. He was selected for the 2013 Senior Bowl and NFL Combine.
