TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati of women's golf team tees off its spring season at the Battle at Old South, Jan. 29-31 in Bluffton, South Carolina. The three-day event is co-hosted by Cincinnati and Florida International.
Seven teams begin competition on Friday in an 18-hole stroke-play round to determine seeding in the team match-play portion of the event that gets underway Saturday. Two match-play rounds will take place Saturday with the final two teams advancing to final-round play Sunday.
The other five teams taking part in the event are Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville, Western Carolina and South Carolina-Beaufort.
UC tees off Friday beginning at 11:24 a.m. ET.
Results from Friday's stroke play will be available at the end of the round on GolfStat.com and GoBearcats.com. Match play results will be available at GoBearcats.com at the end of each day.
This weekend's event marks the first competition for the Bearcats since the COVID-19 pandemic halted the 2020 spring season following play at the UNF Collegiate on Mar. 10, 2020.

"We are just so excited to be back on the golf course competing after our 10-month break," UC head coach Janet Carl said. "The ladies worked extremely hard this past fall and into the winter. We know they have to get back into a competitive mindset but this will be a good test for them. They will have 18 holes of stroke play for the seeding of the teams and then 54 holes of match play, which will be a great way to ease back into competition."
