DALLAS – Five Bearcats scored in double figures led by a double-double effort from Jeremiah Davenport, who posted 18 points and career-high 10 rebounds, as Cincinnati snapped a five-game losing streak with a 73-69 road win at SMU on Thursday.

Cincinnati (3-6, 1-3 American) held SMU (6-2, 2-2) to three baskets while outscoring the Mustangs 20-6 over the final five-plus minutes to rally for its first league win. 

Keith Williams scored eight of his 12 points during the decisive stretch. His layup with 2:00 left gave UC a 68-67. On UC's next possession, Williams drove to the paint then found Tari Eason for a dunk. On SMU's next possession, Williams blocked a 3-pointer by Darius McNeil that David DeJulius recovered and threw ahead to Tari Eason for a fastbreak dunk to extend UC's lead to 72-67. 

Kendric Davis led SMU with 14 points and 14 assists. 

UC connected on a season-high 10 3-pointers, including a career-high four triples by Mika Adams-Woods, who finished with 14 points. 

Eason registered 14 points, five rebounds and four blocks. 

Zach Harvey scored 13 points, including nine in the first half to keep UC in the game after the Bearcats fell behind by nine points, 28-19, 12 minutes into the contest.

DeJulius nearly registered a double-double with a career-high 12 assists and nine rebounds. 

UC overcame 14 turnovers that led to 20 SMU points. The Bearcats recorded a season-best seven blocks and outrebounds the Mustangs 39-35. 

The win marks Cincinnati's 100th victory in the AAC. The Bearcats lead the league in most conference wins since its formation prior to the 2013-14 campaign.
