CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati men's basketball junior guard David DeJulius was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
DeJulius averaged a team-high 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists as the Bearcats went 2-0 last week, returning from a 25-day layoff due to COVID-19 protocols.
The Detroit, Michigan, native scored a career-high 26 points with four 3-pointers, four rebounds and three steals in UC's 63-60 road win at Temple on Feb. 4. He followed that performance with 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists in UC's 64-61 victory at Tulane on Feb. 7.
It marks the second time this season DeJulius has been selected to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll. He earned the accolade on Dec. 14 following an 11-point, seven-assist effort at then-No. 12 Tennessee on Dec. 12.
For the season, DeJulius is averaging 10.3 points, 5.0 assists and 4.9 rebounds for the Bearcats. He has scored in double figures in each of UC's last three games, averaging 16.7 points during the stretch.
Entering the week, DeJulius ranks among AAC leaders in assists (second at 5.1), assist-to-turnover ratio (third at 2.4), defensive rebounds (10th at 4.5) and minutes played (11th at 30.9).
