TicketsCINCINNATI – Former University of Cincinnati soccer standout Vanessa Gilles has been selected for the Canadian Women's National Team Roster for the 2021 SheBelieves Cup, presented by Visa, set to take place in Orlando, Florida from Feb. 18-24, 2021.
Gilles, one of the most decorated players in UC women's soccer history, has two previous caps with the Canadian National Team, including one start. The 2017 American Athletic Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year plays professionally with Girondins de Bordeaux in France's top division.
Canada is making its first appearance at the SheBelieves Cup, a prestigious four-team tournament taking place for the sixth time. The tournament will be staged with three doubleheaders taking place over seven days at Exploira Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
Canada will open up with the host United States on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
The Bearcats are set to open their 2021 campaign on Sunday, Feb. 21 at UCF. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET inside the UCF Soccer and Track Complex, also in Orlando.
