CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team opens its nine-game home slate on Sunday, March 7, 2021 against Kent State at 2 p.m. ET inside Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats are 1-2 on the season and 1-0 at home. Mostly recently, UC dropped at 13-5 matchup at No. 23 Louisville. Kent State is 0-3 wil losses to Fresno State, Marquette and Robert Morris.
ALL YOU FANS IN THE STANDS- Lacrosse will have an open attendance policy for home matches this season with all being Experience UC events.
- All fans are welcome to attend in a safe and socially distant manner. Masks are required at all times while on campus.
ABOUT THE BEARCATS
- Monica Borzillo paces UC's attack with nine goals and eight assists in the first three games.
- Kylie Nause (9g), Alyssa Adams (7g, 11dc), Peyton Mottice (3g, 6gb, 4ct) and Taylor Gysin (4g, 2a) are also in the offensive mix.
- Sam Mlkvy has registered 24 draw controls, including a school-record 15 in the opener against Marquette.
- AAC Preseason Co-Defensive Player of the Year Morgan Dukes (5gb, 2ct) leads the UC back line.
- Dukes is one of five different Bearcats to collect five ground balls this season.
- Adrianna Fess, one of three Fess triplets on the squad, has eight ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- Goalkeeper Kate Brocato has a .370 save pct. w/24 saves.

- UC has three sets of siblings on the team, including the Fess triplets (Adrianna, Alexandra, Amanda) and the Finotti (Jennie & Sophia) and Mlkvy (Dani & Sam) sisters.
RANDOM NOTE OF THE DAY
- Kent State's first match in program history occurred on Feb. 10, 2019 at Gettler Stadium, a 19-8 UC win.
ABOUT THE FLASHES
- Kent State fields a young squad with no player having more than 26 games under their belt
- Abby Jones was a 2019 First Team All-ASUN midfielder and leads the team with eight points (7g, 1a). Her 85 career points (56g, 29a) rank first in Kent State history.
- Jones and Madison Rapier are the only two Flashes to record a goal in all three games this season.
- The Golden Flashes have allowed an average of 19 goals per game through the first two weeks of the season.
- Madison Flannigan has started all three matches in goal, allowing 32 goals in 85 minutes with 18 saves.
