TicketsJACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of Cincinnati junior transfer Katie Hallinan (Loveland, Ohio/Illinois) carded an even par 72 Tuesday to tie for 22nd place at 10-over 226 during final-round action at the UNF Collegiate at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.
Hallinan posted an eagle, two birdies and 11 par scores during the third round to finish 12 strokes behind tournament medalist Hanna Alberto of Sam Houston, who finished at 2-under 214.
Other UC results include: freshman Paighton Masterson (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) tying for 58th place at 20-over 236; freshman Carmela Simon Prieto (Valencia, Spain), who played the event as an individual unattached from the team score, tied for 62nd place at 21-over 237; Vanessa Manrique finishing 83rd at 30-over 246; Natalia Sompolvorachai (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Orange HS) tying for 86th place at 33-over 249 and Erin Evans (Carmel, Ind./Carmel HS) tying for 88th at 34-over 250.
The Bearcats finished in 15th place in the team standings at 85-over 949. Host North Florida won the team title at 14-over 878.

"I'm really proud of the way the ladies came back today," UC head coach Janet Carl said. "This is a golf course that really exposes all your weaknesses and we found some we need to work on. We have many small wins to lean on after this event. Katie had a good event. Vanessa dug deep and got her round finished despite not hitting the ball solid.
"We need to get home and continue to work on our conditioning both mentally and physically. We have some players we need to get healthy too as we work toward our conference championship."
