CINCINNATI – Three University of Cincinnati lacrosse player earned American Athletic Conference weekly honors as Alyssa Adams was named midfielder of the week and Monica Borzillo and Morgan Dukes were tabbed for the honor roll.
The Bearcats toppled both Robert Morris (16-7) and Central Michigan (15-11) to close out nonconference play.
Adams scored a game-high four goals and had two ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover against the Colonials and added a game-high four goals with a ground ball, eight draw controls and three caused turnovers against the Chippewas. She has scored 20 goals this season and leads The American with 3.3 goals per game.
Borzillo scored four goals with five assists, six ground balls and three caused turnovers in last week's pair of games.
Dukes returned and made a noticeable impact on the defense, picking up six ground balls with two caused turnovers and one draw control in a 2-0 week, limiting UC's two opponents to 9.0 goals per game.

UC opens American Athletic Conference play against Vanderbilt on Friday, March 19 and Sunday, March 21 inside Nippert Stadium. Friday's match will have a 4 p.m. ET first draw while Sunday's matchup starts at noon. Both contests will air on ESPN+ with live stats also available.
Lacrosse will have an open attendance policy for home matches this season with all being Experience UC events. All fans are welcome to attend in a safe and socially distant manner. Masks are required at all times while on campus.
