CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati soccer team continues a five-match homestand against American Athletic Conference rival Memphis on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Gettler Stadium.

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati soccer team continues a five-match homestand against American Athletic Conference rival Memphis on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Gettler Stadium. 
 
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and the game will air on ESPN+ with live stats also available.
 
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
  • Ashley Barron, Vanessa DiNardo, Camryn Hartman and Brandi Thomsen have scored UC's 2021 tallies.
  • DiNardo (5), Hartman (5), Lauren Bastian, Kendall Battle and Thomsen (4) have been the leading shot callers.
  • Barron, who has worn the captain's armband, leads a back line which has surrendered only five goals. 
  • GK Anna Rexford has made 13 saves with a 1.25 goals against average in three starts.
  • Seven members of UC's freshmen class have seen significant playing time with Sophie Gorman as the lone senior who features regularly.
  • UC averages 9.5 shots per game but will look to clean up its 12.25 fouls per game average.
 
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
  • Memphis is starting a four-game road trip at UC.
  • The Tigers are tied atop the league standings with USF. 
  • Memphis last faced the Bearcats on Oct. 18, 2019, a 3-0 win for the Tigers at Gettler Stadium.
  • Claire Abrey and Mya Jones were named to the AAC Honor Roll for their efforts in a 1-0 victory over Houston.
 
THE SHOW MUST GO ON
  • Over half of the UC's typical starting lineup is made up of sophomores or freshmen. 
  • MF Sophie Gorman is the only senior in the regular XI. 
  • True freshmen Lauren Bastian and Anna Rexford have started all four games while Elizabeth Fortuna and Chole Spitler have both earned starts.
