CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team and crosstown rival Xavier will play a four-game set this weekend with games on Friday and Monday at UC Baseball Stadium with a 4 p.m. ET first pitch and Saturday and Sunday's matchups at Hayden Field, starting at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

ABOUT THE BEARCATS
  • The Bearcats (6-7) are coming off a series sweep of Western Michigan last weekend.
  • As a team, UC is hitting a .256 clip with 21 doubles and 14 home runs with double-digit hits in 10 games.
  • Cole Harting (.344), Wyatt Stapp (.340) and Joey Bellini (.315) top the batting charts.
  • Harting has three home runs, two doubles and three swiped bags. He has an eight-game streak of reaching base and seven-game hitting streak ongoing. Jace Mercer and Stapp have reached base in seven straight.
  • Stapp's 18 hits leads the squad. He has a team-best five doubles and 13 RBIs.
  • Bellini has drawn five walks, punched 17 hits and driven in nine runs.
  • Jake Murray has two triples, two round trippers and holds the team lead with four stolen bases.
  • UC's three primary starters, LHP Evan Shawver (23.0), LHP Dean McCarthy (19.0) and LHP Garrett Schoenle (17.1) have all eaten up some innings in their four starts and have combined for 69 of the teams 120 punch outs.
  • Aiden Bradbury has a 1-0 record in three chances out of the bullpen, striking out six wiht a 0.00 ERA in 5.2 IP.
  • Zach Segal has made seen relief appearances and has two saves.
  • Nathan Moore (6), Max Bergmann and sidearmer Beau Keathley (5) have all made at least five relief stints. 
  • UC's hurlers have struck out eight or more batters combined in each of the past 10 games.
