QUOTING HEAD COACH DOUG MARTIN
"Today was a rough day," UC head coach Doug Martin said. "We didn't get off to a very good start early in the round. Fortunately, we did play a solid last nine holes. We really improved our execution and converted some of our good approach shots. I'm still frustrated with our Par-5 play, it's keeping us from posting a really good round.
"I'm really happy for Joey shooting a bogey-free 69," Martin added. "Saturday's conditions are going to be tough and we will have to be prepared to grind one out."
