Lacrosse Falls At No. 11 Florida Friday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team lost a 20-3 decision at No. 11 Florida in American Athletic Conference action at Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Friday.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team lost a 20-3 decision at No. 11 Florida in American Athletic Conference action at Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Friday. 
 
The Gators (6-2, 3-0 AAC) jumped all over the Bearcats (4-5, 0-3 AAC), building a 15-0 lead at halftime and going up 16-1 before UC scored. Monica Borzillo and Sam Mlkvy scored back-to-back goals early in the second half and Mlkvy added her second tally with 10:43 in the game. 
 
Florida held a 37-11 advantage in shots and took advantage of UC's 18 turnovers.

The teams square off at noon ET on Sunday inside Donald R. Dizney Stadium. There is no video stream, but a radio stream will be available on Sunday with live stats also available.
 
The AAC – now in its third lacrosse season – has announced a new format for the 2021 campaign, with each team playing five conference series during league play. The two-game series will take place over the course of three days, with a rest day in between games.
