QUOTING HEAD COACH DOUG MARTIN
"We needed the success we've had the past two days for this group," UC head coach Doug Martin said. "Neither day did we finish off the round but we have been way more explosive at times in each round. I think we took a lot away from the past two days as a group. Both Ty and Clay had it going today. Sam and Joey also battled hard to shoot their respective scores.
"It's nice being in the lead going into Tuesday," Martin added. "This is why you practice for days like Tuesday. Our focus is about what we do collectively as a group – one shot, one hole at a time."
