CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati's Adria Oliver and Maria Mallon received recognition from the American Athletic Conference, Monday afternoon after being named Second Team All-Conference.
Both Oliver and Mallon received preseason All-Conference nods with Oliver being named to the Preseason All-Conference team for the first time in her career while Mallon secured her second nomination.

This is Oliver's second Second Team All-Conference recognition since 2019 and the 17th Bearcat to receive this award. Through six conference matchups, she contributed immensely to the Bearcats defense over the course of the season, accumulating 19 total blocks with 16 assisted and three solo, averaging .83 blocks per set. While standing tall for the defense, she only totaled three block errors while also grabbing 70 points for the Bearcats, averaging 3.04 points per set. She also tallied 59 kills for the offense across 23 sets on 121 attempts with only 18 errors, all while averaging 2.57 kills per set with an impressive .339 hit percentage.
For the Third consecutive season, Mallon secured her Third All-Conference accolade, receiving First Team All-Conference recognition in 2018 and 2019. She is now the 18th Bearcat to receive this award. Mallon, who started the season late for the Bearcats, wasted no time in making an impact for UC. Mallon was able to play all 23 sets against the Bearcats conference opponents, leading the team in kills with 77 on 234 total attempts, averaging 3.35 kills per set. Mallon also put down seven service aces on 82 total attempts averaging .30 service aces per set. Mallon also scooped up 86 total digs for the Bearcats, averaging 3.74 digs per set. She also led the team in total points with 88.5, averaging 3.85 per set.
