CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati Tennis team is set to travel to Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va., where they will face-off against the Hunt in their last road matchup of the regular season. First serve will take place Sunday, April 11, at 10 a.m. inside the 7827 Tennis Center.

It has been just under a month since UC has been on the road, most recently back on a two-match stint out in Texas, where the Bearcats faced off against Houston and SMU completing their road series 0-2.

LAST TIMEOUT
The Bearcats are coming off their second win in three games where they swept Dayton 7-0 followed by a dominating 6-1 performance over Butler on Senior day.

After claiming the early doubles point, Maria Santilli got the things going for the Bearcats to start singles play. Over on court three court three she outpaced her competition, delivering two perfect 6-0 set sweeps to take the first singles point on the match.

Emma Miceli was performing as well over on court four, claiming a two-set sweep of her own, and her 67th singles win as a Bearcat. With this mark, Miceli continues to climb her way up the UC record book in which she currently shares the No. 8 slot for all time total career singles wins.

The Bearcats finished out the match securing five total two set sweeps in singles play to conclude their dominating performances over the Butler Bulldogs Saturday afternoon.

CHASING 500
With the Bearcats last win against Butler, their total win count now tallies at 498, just two wins away from their 500th milestone. With just two regular season matches left, the Bearcats have the ability to close out their season with their 500th win at home inside the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center on Sunday April 18, against Western Kentucky University.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bearcats and Marshall have met 14 times in series history, to which Marshall holds a 13-1 advantage over UC.

Last time the two teams met; Cincinnati snapped a 13-game win streak held by the Herd for 12 years.

The Bearcats look to keep their momentum going as they close out their final road match against Marshall who is coming off a three-win streak.
