CINCINNATI – The offenses returned to University of Cincinnati Baseball Stadium on Saturday, but the Bearcats were doubled up by UCF, 20-10, in American Athletic Conference action.
Game time was moved up to 10 a.m. ET, six hours ahead of the originally scheduled first pitch and most of the 4:43 matchup was played under rainy skies. The teams combined for 30 runs on 26 hits with 30 walks and 28 runners stranded.
UCF (14-17, 4-3 AAC) scored at least one run in every inning but the eighth and tallied four runs each in the sixth and ninth frames. UC (12-16, 1-6 AAC) had a 6-5 lead starting the third inning but fell behind and couldn't convert its late opportunities, leaving the bases loaded in the eighth and ninth innings.
The Knights broke a six-all tie in the top of the fourth after back-to-back, run-scoring hits by B McCabe and J Montes
The Bearcats defense turned three double plays, adding to their NCAA-leading total of 33.

• Jace Mercer finished 2-for-3 with three runs scored an RBI, two walks, a double, triple and stolen base.
• Paul Komistek his his fourth home run of the season, going 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and a walk
• Joe Powell was 2-for-3 with a double, walk, RBI and run scored.
