CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men's golf team returns to action this weekend, playing in the Boilermaker Invitational on the Kampen Course (par-72 • 7,405 yards) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The 54-hole tournament will be played over two days with 36 holes on Saturday, followed by Round 3 on Sunday. The low four scores will count towards the team score in each round.
Along with the team event, individual competitors will tee off at Purdue's Ackerman-Allen Golf Course.

"We are excited to get to Purdue. This is a tournament and course that we are very familiar with and have played well here in the past. The course is very demanding and requires excellent shot making to be successful. This is our last prep before the conference championship, so it's important to get some momentum."

The Kampen Course is rated one of the top collegiate courses in the nation and has been awarded 4.5 stars on Golf Digest's "Places to Play." Kampen receives high marks, being ranked as one of the most difficult golf courses in Indiana. The course has also played host to a number of prestigious collegiate and public tournaments such as the 2000 Men's Big Ten Championship, the 2003 Women's NCAA Championship, the 2004 Indiana Open, the 2005 Women's Western Amateur, and the 2008 Men's NCAA Championship, the 2017 NCAA Men's Regional Championship and is slated to host a 2024 NCAA Men's Regional.

The Boilermaker Invitational features a 16-team field highlighted by some of the top golf programs in the nation, including three in the top-50 of latest Golfstat team rankings. Illinois (6) leads the way, followed by Ohio State (38), Kent State (47), Indiana (53), Wisconsin (64), Northwestern (70), Purdue (71), Michigan State (78), Cincinnati (101), Toledo (119), Illinois State (121), Eastern Michigan (150), Miami (OH) (151), Minnesota (156), Ball State (166) and Southern Illinois (175).
