TicketsCINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati baseball players Paul Komistek (Knoxville, Tennessee/Farragut/Tennessee) and Dean McCarthy(White Plains, N.Y./Harrison/Elon) were named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for the week ending April 11, 2021, the league office announced Monday.
Komistek hit .571 (8-14) with four runs, three doubles, a pair of home runs and six runs driven in as the Bearcats split the series with UCF, 2-2.
McCarthy went 1-0 in two outings last week, working 5.2 innings with only one run, two hits and a walk allowed while striking out seven batters.
UP NEXT
The Bearcats head out on the road next week for a four-game AAC series at Memphis' FedExPark. The teams will play a Friday doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. ET, kick things off at 3 p.m. Saturday and close out the series at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
