TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics will celebrate its fans with a Fan Appreciation Week beginning Saturday, April 17 and running through Saturday, April 24.
Fans are invited to follow along through the week as the department will hold daily celebrations ranging from surprise mascot appearances to giveaways of gift cards and premium Under Armour prize packs.
The Bearcats Football Spring Scrimmage on Saturday, April 17 will serve as the kickoff to Fan Appreciation Week. Though attendance will be limited to 5,000 fans, the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a special edition LET IT FLY poster, presented by Western & Southern. Nippert Stadium gates open at 10 a.m. The scrimmage is slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. More details about the event can be found HERE.
As part of a continued effort to connect directly with fans about ways to improve their experience, the department will also invite fans to participate in surveys and polls on GoBEARCATS.com and @GoBEARCATS social channels throughout the week, culminating in Friday's release of the first-ever Bearcats Fan Council, a 15-member group that will work closely with the department to assess and evaluate the fan experience and advance new concepts for all Bearcats fans.
"The most important thing we can do as a department is listen to our most loyal fans and ensure we are meeting their expectations," Director of Athletics John Cunningham said. "Members of the Bearcats Fan Council will have the opportunity to help us mold the fan experience, have input on new initiatives and bring new ideas to the table."
