TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men's golf team is back on course this weekend at the 2021 American Athletic Conference Championship from April 23-25 at Southern Hills Club in Brooksville, Florida.
THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The tournament commences on Friday, April 23, 2021 and runs through Sunday, April 25 with teams playing three 18-hole rounds. Eight teams from The American will play in pairs in a five-count-four scoring format.
The Bearcats hold the No. 4 seed in the championship with No. 1 SMU, No. 2 USF and No. 3 UCF ahead. Other participating squads include No. 5 Wichita State, No. 6 Memphis, No. 7 East Carolina and No. 8 Templ.e
THE COURSE
For the first time in tournament history, the American Men's Golf Championship will be contested at the Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club in Brooksville, Florida. The course will play at a par-72 and measure approximately 7,221 yards for the weekend.
Southern Hills was designed by renowned golf course architect Pete Dye and opened for play in 2006. The club has hosted both PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour qualifying school tournaments and has served as a Monday qualifier site for the PGA TOUR's Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor.

UC will play with UCF in the first round of the tournament. The Bearcats and Knights are in the third set of groups off the first tee Friday between 9:25-9:59 a.m. ET.
Amlung leads things off at 9:25 a.m., followed by Lenhart (9:34), McCarthy (9:42), Jean (9:51) and Gingrich (9:59).
The field will be re-paired for both day two and day three based on subsequent scoring.
