TicketsGREENVILLE, N.C. – University of Cincinnati golfer Katie Hallinan shot a final-round 71 and tied for seventh at the East Carolina Easter Invitational on Sunday at the Ironwood Country Club (Par 72; 6,188 yards) in Greenville, North Carolina.
Hallinan finished at 3-over-par 219 (80-68-71) and earned her second-straight Top-10 finish after placing second at the EKU Colonel Classic last week. High Point's Samantha Vodry totaled a three-round score of 4-under 212 to win by three strokes.
The Bearcats placed eighth with a team score of 929 (321-301-307). The host Pirates won by two shots at 888, followed by College of Charleston (890), Augusta (891) with Coastal Carolina (893) and Campbell (895) rounding out the top five.
Vanessa Manrique (76-78-79 = 233) placed 36th, Paighton Masterson (82-79-77 = 238) improved in each round and tied for 41st, Sadie Pan (83-76-81 = 240) tied for 43rd and Angela Lopez (0-84-80 = 164) was 53rd.
