TicketsKNOXVILLE – The University of Cincinnati track and field program wrapped up its first day of competition at the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville, Tennessee Thursday evening with the women's 10000m, where Katrina Patterson claimed a personal best finish of 36:07.58, enough for the No. 5 spot all-time in the UC record books.
The first day of competition got underway with the start of Women's Heptathlon followed by the Men's Decathlon, both of which will conclude Friday.
On the men's side: Damien Berthenet had a strong showing for the Bearcats, taking third place in four of his decathlon events with a first-place mark of 2.04m (6-8.25) in the decathlon high Jump.
On the women's side: Taylor Beard took height in the heptathlon high jump, claiming a mark of 1.76m (5-9.25) and the first-place crown.
UP NEXT
The Bearcats return to Tom Black Track tomorrow morning for a full day of competition, starting with the conclusion of the multi events at 11 a.m., the field events kick off at 2:00 p.m. with the women's long jump followed by the running events at 2:45 p.m. with men's 110m hurdles.
