CINCINNATI - 
The University of Cincinnati's Ellie Leather was tabbed this week's AAC Female Track and Field Athlete of the Week following her record setting performances down at the Kentucky Open this past weekend.

GOLDEN RECAP
Leather continued an already impressive season by earning gold in both the 1,500 meter run and the 800 meter run down in Lexington, Kentucky. In the 1,500m run she broke the UC record  with her final time of 4:16.73, now holding the top spot in both the 1,500m individual times and all-times. She is also slotted 48th in the 1,500m run for the NCAA as of May 5th.

Leather also moved into the UC 10th all-time spot with her 800m time of 2:07.37, beating her personal best time of 2:08.19.

UP NEXT 
The Bearcats have a weekend break before heading to Tampa, Florida to compete in the 2021 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships from Friday, May 14th to Sunday, May 16th.
