Track and Field Prepares for NCAA Outdoor Finals

CINCINNATI - Four members of the University of Cincinnati track & field program are slated to compete in five events at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 9-12 at Hayward Field.

CINCINNATI - Four members of the University of Cincinnati track & field program are slated to compete in five events at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 9-12 at Hayward Field.

Damien Berthenet will start things off for the Bearcats on Wednesday, June 9th as the Decathlon is slated to start at 4:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT with the 100 meter dash and ending around 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT with the 400 meter race. Thursday morning the decathlon is scheduled to start back up at 12:30pm ET/9:30 a.m. PT with the 110 meter hurdles and finish around 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m.PT with the 1,500 meter run.

Aaron Bienenfeld, who also ran in the NCAA Cross Country and NCAA Indoor Championships this season, will complete the trifecta on Wednsday with the 10,000 meter race slated for 10:38 p.m. ET/7:38 p.m.PT.

Caisja Chandler will run in the 100 meter semifinals around 7:46 p.m. ET/4:46 p.m. PT and the 200 meter semifinals around 8:54 p.m. ET/5:54 p.m. PT with the hopes to secure a spot in the finals on Saturday.

Taylor Beard competes in the high jump event on the last day of the Championships, set to begin at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, June 12th.
