EUGENE, Ore. - Freshman Taylor Beard closed out her first trip to the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships earning All-America honors in the high jump event on Saturday afternoon.
After a missed first attempt, Beard cleared the bar on her second attempt at 1.73 meters (five feet - eight inches). She went on to clear the bar on her first attempt at 1.78 meters (five feet - ten inches). However, after three attempts, she could not clear the bar at 1.81 meters.
Beard finished tied for 16th place, earning 2nd Team All-America Honors.
