The UC senior-to-be pitched six strong innings in his 2021 debut, holding the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox scoreless, scattering three hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks.
Evan Shawver pitched six strong innings in his first start of the 2021 season. He held the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox scoreless, while scattering 3 hits, walking none and striking out 10. The double-digit strikeouts mark a season-high for Shawver, who fanned nine at WKU on Feb. 26 and struck out eight on three other occasions.
Shawver made nine starts for UC in 2021, going 3-1 with a 2.72 ERA and 49 strikeouts.
