CINCINNATI – Six University of Cincinnati student-athletes, Darrian Beavers (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain/UConn), Coby Bryant (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville), Bryan Cook (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Healthy/Howard), Alec Pierce (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West), Desmond Ridder (Louisville, Kentucky/St. Xavier) and Myjai Sanders (Jacksonville, Fla./Camden County), were named to the watch list for the 2021 Reese's Senior Bowl.

CINCINNATI – Six University of Cincinnati student-athletes, Darrian Beavers (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain/UConn), Coby Bryant (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville), Bryan Cook (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Healthy/Howard), Alec Pierce (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West), Desmond Ridder (Louisville, Kentucky/St. Xavier) and Myjai Sanders (Jacksonville, Fla./Camden County), were named to the watch list for the 2021 Reese's Senior Bowl. 
 
The 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. The game and practices throughout the week will be televised by NFL Network. The Reese's Senior Bowl is the nation's most prestigious college all-star game, as it annually serves as the first step of the NFL draft process.
 
Beavers was a Second-Team All-AAC honoree at linebacker in 2020. He was the Bearcats second-leading tackler on the season with 58 stops. Also finished with 7.5 tackles for a loss, 2.4 sacks, two interceptions, four passes defended, a QB hurry and forced fumble. He had two or more more tackles in every game and had five or more on seven occasions. Beavers rung up a career-best day at UCF, setting highs with 12 tackles, 4.0 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks. Picked off interceptions against USF and vs. Tulsa in the AAC Championship game and elected to return to UC in 2021 to use his additional year of eligibility. 
 
Bryant is a member of the watch list for the Jim Thorpe Award and Lott IMPACT Trophy. A 2020 First-Team All-AAC honoree, he started 10 games in and tied for the league lead with 11 passes defended, totaling a team-best four interceptions and seven pass break ups. He finished with 35 tackles, a tackle for a loss and a forced fumble. Bryant has already earned his undergraduate degree and elected to return to UC in 2021 to use his additional year of eligibility.  
 
Cook played in all 10 games a year ago, starting two in his first full season at UC. The Howard University transfer totaled 26 tackles, including 19 solo stops, along with two pass break ups and a tackle for a loss. He recorded a season-best nine tackles with a pass break up against Houston. Had four tackles in the AAC Championship game against Tulsa. Stepped into a starting role due to injury in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and responded with seven solo tackles.
 
Pierce led UC with an 18.5 yards per catch average a season ago. He had 17 receptions for 315 yards and three touchdowns in only six games. The senior hauled in six catches of 20 or more yards, including a season-long 45-yard strike from Ridder in the AAC Championship game. He was one of the stars of the conference championship game with a career-best 146 receiving yards on five catches, including a 36-yard TD reception and catches of 31, 45, 14 and 20 yards. 
 
Ridder enters his senior season at UC as the No. 2 passer in school history, throwing for 6,905 yards and 57 touchdowns over his previous three seasons. He recently joined some of the other top QBs in the nation as counselors at the annual Manning Passing Academy. He's on the watch lists for the Manning Award, CFPA National Performer of the Year, Davey O'Brien Award, Maxwell Award and is one of the Walter Camp Football Foundation Player of the Year players to watch. He was the 2020 American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, 2021 AAC Championship Game Most Outstanding Player and 2018 AAC Rookie of the Year.
 
Sanders was one of the anchors for a front seven which led the American in rushing, scoring, pass efficiency and total defense. A semifinalist for the 2020 Bednarik Award, he was rated by Pro Football Focus College as one of the top edge defenders in the NCAA FBS. Sanders had a team-best 10.5 tackles for a loss and 7.0 sacks in 2020 where he earned First-Team All-AAC honors. Both his marks ranked him among the Top-10 defenders in the AAC.
 
Cincinnati opens the 2021 season on Saturday, Sept. 4, against Miami (OH) in the 125th Battle for the Victory Bell at 3:30 p.m. ET inside Nippert Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and fans are encouraged to sign up for the digital platform online.
