Milestones and Going for Two
Cincinnati is seeking its first 2-0 start since 2017, when it defeated Buffalo and Boston University to start that season. That team ultimately went 12-4-3. Thursday's win over the Norse improved the Bearcats' all-time record to 400-299-68.

Last Time Out (Thursday)
The Bearcats played with exceptional intensity in the early going, scoring in the 10th and 12 minutes en route to a 2-1 win at NKU. Vanessa DiNardo's point-blank header, a rebound from Kendall Battle's attempt, started the day and meant more than just a goal: it was the first for the team (and fifth of DiNardo's career) after she changed her number to 3 in memory of longtime friend and Cincinnati teammate Ally Sidloski.

Lauren Bastian struck soon after on a rocket from the 18-yard box, the second of her career. Her other one came against Tennessee in the spring.

UC has won seven-straight matches dating back to the start of the 2018 season when scoring multiple goals.

About the Series
These two teams have met just twice, with the Bearcats winning each time. The first was a 2-0 road win in 2001 before a 2-1, overtime decision at home in 2003. Cincinnati is 4-0-2 against in-state teams dating back to the start of the 2014 season.

Scouting the Rockets
Toledo tied Purdue-Fort Wayne on the road in Thursday's opener and was 1-5-1 in the shortened spring season. The squad boasts a pair of former MAC All-Freshman forwards in Stephanie Currie and Ellie Pool. TJ Buchholz is in his seventh season at the helm.
