Ridder threw for four touchdowns (20-of-25 passing), including a career-long 81-yarder on the second snap of the game, as UC built a 35-0 halftime lead en route to a 49-14 win. It was his third four-TD passing performance (Marshall in 2019, ECU in 2018), with his five total scores (25-yard rush late in the first half) also matching a career-high set against Memphis last season.
The Louisville native now has 7,200 passing yards, which ranks second in program history. He padded his quarterback-rushing records to 1,873 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Fans can vote for Ridder amongst the eight Manning selections via Facebook through Thursday at 11 a.m. CT. The O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week is announced Wednesday.
UC returns to action Saturday against Murray State at 3:30 p.m. Limited seats are available, and the game can be found on ESPN Plus and 700 WLW AM.
