// WHERE WE LEFT OFF
UC kicked off the 2021 season two weeks ago at the Butler Twilight Invite. Both squads had a great start to the season with the men's team placing First in the 6k event and the women's team placing Third in the 5k event.
Alec Sandusky took first place in the men's 6k with a time of 17:42.0, followed by four other Bearcats in the top ten, including Tyler Wirth, Jon Harley, Toni Banos, and Ryan Pehlman.
In the women's 5k, Ellie Leather was the top finisher for the UC team with a time of 17:51.0, which earned her fifth place. Maddie Walker finished in 8th place, scoring more top ten points for UC.
// WHAT TO EXPECT
The Bearcats will not be fielding their entire squads this weekend, but still expect to have a competitive showing in Cedarville. Each team will be racing five athletes.
This will be a larger meet compared to the past race, with schools from across Ohio in attendance, including Miami (OH) and Ohio University.
