GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Paighton Masterson produced her best round of the tournament, a 2-over 74, to lead the Cincinnati women's golf team in the final day of the Pirate Collegiate Classic, and the Bearcats finished tied for sixth overall.

Katie Hallinan tied for fifth, which marked her third top-10 finish in only seven tournaments at UC, with a 6-over 222. Sadie Pan held steady after a 78 and 77 to start, carding a 76 in the final. Masterson's 74 was her best over the last 10 rounds dating back to the spring.

"We are happy with the team today, as they battled wind and rain," head coach Janet Carl said. "We gave a few shots away after the rain delay, but I am proud of them. Paighton posted a good round to lead us, and Sadie had a good first tournament of the year. This was definitely a team effort and I am proud of the team they are becoming. We have work to get done before we head to IU in two weeks."

Host ECU and Oda Sofie Kilsti earned the team and individual titles.

The squad returns to action Oct. 4-5 at the Courtney Cole Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
