LAST TIME OUT
The Bearcats' 2-0 lead early in the second half was not enough for Temple to race back on its home field for victory. Lauren Bastian's PK goal and Kendall Battle's short push (her first of the season) were the team's two tallies. Temple later found the back of the net twice over a 3:13 stretch and then the winning goal in the 88th minute.

THE STATUS
Cincinnati, which debuted at No. 43 in the initial RPI rankings, fell to 4-2-1 this season when leading at the half and 7-8-1 in its last three seasons on the road. This year's team is also 2-1-1 on Sundays, all at home. The Bearcats' 26 shots were its most since 2017 against Tulsa. Paige Miller became the first freshman to earn a start this season after three held such distinction in the COVID spring.

ABOUT THE DEFENSE
Cincinnati has allowed five shots on goal the last two games, its lowest over any-such span this season. It also didn't allow a Thursday corner kick for the first time this season, and Tulsa only had one the previous contest.

SCOUTING MURRAY STATE
This is the first all-time meeting between the schools. The Racers have been off since Sunday's 3-1 win over Southern Illinois and share one mutual opponent, Xavier, which topped them 2-1 early in the season. Head coach Matt Lodge is in his fourth season at the helm and was the OVC Coach of the Year this past spring. He also took the Racers to the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
