CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati volleyball team fell to UCF 3-0 (23-25, 19-25, 13-25) Sunday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.

ORLANDO, FL --The Cincinnati volleyball team lost to the UCF Knights in straight sets (23-25, 19-25, 13-25) Sunday on the road at The Venue at UCF.

The loss dropped Cincinnati's record to 6-4 overall and 1-1 in AAC action.

Shannon Williams finished with 12 kills on the day to lead the Bearcats offense. UC got 19 digs from Payton Frederick to lead them defensively.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Bearcats found themselves in an early hole, losing a close first set 25-23. Cincinnati trailed by as many as six points as UCF grabbed the advantage for good at 14-13 in a set that was tied up five times before the Knights took over in the second half of the stanza.

SET 2 | Cincinnati then dropped the second set 25-19 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. Cincinnati trailed by as many as seven points as UCF grabbed the advantage for good at 10-9 in a set that was tied up five times before the Knights took over the lead.

SET 3 | Cincinnati couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Bearcats fell in a tough set 25-13. Cincinnati trailed by as many as 12 points as UCF grabbed the advantage for good at 7-6 in a set that was tied up five times before the Knights took over the lead.
