CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati men's golf team is ready for its next run at success when it starts the Purdue Fall Invitational Monday.
The two-day event will be held at the par-72, 7,465-yard Kampen Golf Couse in West Lafayette, Indiana. Live scoring is available through Golfstat.com.
Sam Jean, Clay Amlung, Joe McCarthy, Ty Gingerich and Mason Lenhart will take part in the team tally, while Cole Harris will compete individually. It will be his second-such tournament doing so, as the team has also kept the same lineup for all three events so far.
Jean garnered the attention he deserved his week by being named the AAC Men's Golfer of the Month. His 7-under 209 at the Badger Invitational gave him UC's first individual title since Austin Squires in 2017.
The Bearcats are coming off a third-place showing at the Badger Invitational, where they rallied from seventh after the first day.
Amlung is second with a 71.83 stroke average this season, including a 69 in the second round of the last tournament. Lenhart has also rebounded in both tournaments this year with seven and 11-stroke improvements in the final round.
