PROMOTIONS
UC will honor the 2001 team, which won the C-USA title and advanced to the Sweet 16, defeating Oakland and No. 6 Notre Dame along the way. There will be a reception that evening in addition to halftime recognition.

FINDING THE GOAL
Memphis' 18-5 shots advantage marked highs and lows for the Bearcats and their opponents this season, albeit against the No. 18 team on the road. Still, UC boasts a 171-125 advantage this season and has allowed multiple goals only four times (Temple, Kansas and ranked Michigan and Memphis).

HOMES AND HALFTIMES
Cincinnati is 4-1-2 at home this year, which is already its most wins since five in 2018. The Bearcats are also 5-3-2 when leading at the half out of their six wins this season.

ABOUT THE SERIES
SMU leads 6-4-2, including a 5-3-1 mark in the Neil Stafford tenure. COVID-19 prevented a matchup this spring, and the two teams split their 2019 games (the latter one a Mustang win in the first round of the AAC Championships).

LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati was bitten by bad luck in a 2-1 defeat at No. 18 Memphis, as the Tigers' 83rd-minute goal was too much to overcome. It marked the third time in four games the opponent scored in the 80th or later, with UC also falling to Temple and defeating Murray State.
