RALEIGH, N.C. -- For the second-straight tournament, the Cincinnati men's golf team had its opening-day, 36-hole circuit suspended due to weather.

All teams in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate will resume play with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Sunday.

Sam Jean was leading the team (in the No. 12 spot) with a tie for 14th, followed by Joey McCarthy, Mason Lenhart, Clay Amlung and Ty Gingerich.

"We were not very sharp today," head coach Doug Martin said. "We continue to make mistakes that kill any momentum we create. With the scores being lower this week, I knew we needed to play clean golf. We still have 23-24 holes remaining tomorrow and must play better. Sam continues to play well at 3-under through 31 holes."
