Baseball Set To Play Annual Red vs Black World Series

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati baseball team is set to close out their fall practice schedule with the annual Red vs Black World Series, a three-game intra-squad contest at UC Baseball Stadium.

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati baseball team is set to close out their fall practice schedule with the annual Red vs Black World Series, a three-game intra-squad contest at UC Baseball Stadium.

All three games will be played, regardless of the results of the first two days. Game times are set for Wednesday at 3:00 PM, Friday at 3:00 PM, and Saturday at Noon. Admission is free for all fans.

Rosters were drafted on Monday with players being selected by position group. Garrett Harker, Paul Komistek and Griffin Merritt were selected as team captains of the Red team while Beau Keathley, Ryan Nicholson and Joe Powell were selected as team captains the Black team.

In November 2020, Cincinnati's Red vs Black World Series was decided in two games with the Red team winning both contests; a 9-4 victory in game one, and a 3-2 victory in game two. Joe Powell and Sean Springer both homered for the Red team in game one.
