TicketsBLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The No. 1 Cincinnati squad improved by four strokes to cement its second-place spot at the Courtney Cole Invitational, while the second one came in fifth.
"The Pfau golf course is a demanding one that requires one to be accurate and make smart decisions with great course management," head coach Janet Carl said. "Today was more about building skill for the future of this young team. Players took this as an opportunity to learn about them personally and the skills that this course exposed."
Katie Hallinan remained consistent with a 3-over 75 that gave her a fourth top-10 showing out of eight overall UC tournaments. Julia Rabadam and Sadie Pan laid claim to the second-best rounds of the day with 4-over 76s. Pan's matched a season-low on the young season. Her lowest overall was a 74 as a freshman.
"All in all, we have a lot of great takeaways," Carl said. "I am proud that they battled back and moved into second place. A shoutout goes to Julia Rabadam for her first tournament as a Bearcat with a strong finish today."
The Bearcats return to play Monday-Tuesday at the Rocket Classic in Catawba Island, Ohio.
